This role is at the forefront of Microsoft's innovation in Al, machine learning, advanced analytics, and modern data architecture-combining technical depth with strategic sales leadership. As a people manager, you will lead a team of Data & Al Specialists who are deeply knowledgeable in technologies like Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure Machine Learning, and intelligent applications. Your mission is to guide customers through the entire value journey: from envisioning Al use cases and modernizing data estates to accelerating adoption and realizing tangible business outcomes. You will embody a dual competency: strong business insight to shape go-to-market strategy, and deep technical fluency to lead customer conversations with credibility and clarity. This is a high-impact, high-visibility leadership position for someone passionate about the intersection of sales, data, and Al. Responsibilities Sales & Technical Leadership • Drive business growth by owning the Data & Al sales strategy across the region, focusing on Al-led transformation, data modernization, and advanced analytics. • Guide the team to effectively articulate the business value of Microsoft's Data & Al platform, including responsible Al, real-time insights, data governance, and automation. • Coach the team on developing solution architectures and use cases that resonate with business and technical stakeholders. • Oversee deal execution across a wide range of industries, ensuring solution-fit, risk management, and customer alignment throughout the sales cycle. • Act as a senior-level technical executive sponsor in strategic opportunities, directly engaging with customer CTOS, CDOs, and Al leaders. • Leverage Microsoft's Al and Data capabilities to position customers for innovation and competitive advantage. People Management & Team Development • Hire, develop, and retain top-tier talent with deep technical acumen and enterprise sales capability in Al and Data. • Foster a culture of growth mindset, continuous technical upskilling, and solution-oriented thinking across the team. • Build team capacity through role-based training, Azure certifications, and readiness programs tailored to Data & Al. • Provide mentorship and guidance to help team members become trusted advisors to their customers and partners. • Encourage innovation and experimentation while holding the team accountable for delivering measurable results. • Promote diversity and inclusion in hiring, team collaboration, and customer engagement. Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration • Serve as the executive interface between Microsoft and key enterprise customers, helping define their Al and data transformation strategies. • Partner with Solution Architects, Technical Specialists, Global Black Belts, and Engineering teams to align technical delivery with business objectives. • Collaborate closely with the Customer Success, Marketing, and Partner teams to ensure seamless customer journey from pre-sales to value realization. • Engage in rhythm-of-business reviews and territory planning sessions to drive alignment across teams and optimize sales coverage. • Stay ahead of industry trends in generative Al, data mesh, data fabric, and ethical Al to guide customers toward future-proof solutions. • Provide structured feedback to product groups and influence Microsoft's future Data & Al roadmap. Qualifications Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. • 6+ years of experience in technical solution sales, architecture, or consulting, specifically in Data, Al, or cloud technologies. • 3+ years of experience managing high- performing sales or technical teams. • Proven ability to lead large-scale Al or data platform engagements with C-level stakeholders. • Strong business acumen and storytelling ability, capable of translating technical capabilities into business outcomes. • Professional fluency in English; ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and business audiences. Preferred Qualifications • Master's degree (MBA or technical field such as Data Science, Al, or Engineering). • 8+ years of experience in the cloud data & Al domain • Hands-on knowledge of AI/ML lifecycle, data lakes, data warehousing, and industry- specific Al scenarios. • Experience in building or managing teams that work across matrixed environments in enterprise tech. • Strong track record in driving revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and technical excellence in complex enterprise sales.
