Roles and Responsibilities • Support collaborative academic and clinical partners (e.g. radiologists, physicists, and technologists) with emphasis on key sites • Assist in maturing evidence portfolio (writing journal publications/summary articles, technical documents) and identifying unique opportunities for partnership (contributing to letters of support, research proposals, supporting identified grant submissions) • Develop new MR products or research items and/or improve the performance of existing products • Participate in customer presentations regarding use of products for institution research purposes • Closely connect with GEHC global modality teams, clinical and R&D teams, explore unmet clinical and technical needs with external collaborators, identify new needs and build clinical evidence • Maintain and grow collaborator networks, increase connections between sites, and facilitate multi-site collaborations • Grow technology leadership mindshare through co-authored and lead authored joint scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals • Support research tools (e.g. software, prototypes, off-line analysis) as it relates to collaborative activity ⚫ Study new technology concepts and leverage expertise to move forward Required Qualifications • PhD Degree in Physics, Computer Science, Radiological Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant technical background • Minimum 3+ years of experience in MR or Medical Imaging or post processing or closely related field • Demonstrated record of innovation and development, publications and/or conference presentations • Strong analytical and experimental skills, independent problem solver • Self-starter, able to work independently and collaboratively, able to multi-task • Ability to work including from a home office, hospital, or clinical site, and with ability wo travel • Demonstrated ability to communicate with co-workers and leadership Desired Characteristics • Experience in a clinical environment working with clinicians/radiologist • Experience with academic and/or clinical collaborations • Familiarity with GE MR systems and research on those systems • Strong oral and written communication skills.
